Berlin

I was born and raised in Berlin and i gotta say, despite it's flaws, I love this city. I'm not going to go into great detail here, yet I want to share some thoughts and experiences, good and bad.

Berlin is a very diverse city and that's what I love. I have travelled to some other german cities in the past, namely Stuttgart, Oberhausen and partly Hamburg, but Berlin still feels the most alive to me. You've got cool looking backyards with cafes, book shops so large and alive you don't wanna ever get out of it and great places to relax in the middle of the city. A very "Berlin" thing for me is the german beverage Club Mate. It's a carbonated drink based on yerba mate with looots of caffeine. Haters say it tastes like "cigarette water" and yea I can't even disagree lol. If you ever visit Berlin you will come in sight with a Club Mate, that is for sure.

Reading ww2 books and realising all this shit was right in front of your door not so long ago is insane. Berlin is packed with history which you can see and explore, which I love. Climate activists attacking the Brandenburger Tor with orange paint? Nuh uh that's not the direction we wanna go.

Places

For some it may seem uncomfortable, but sitting down on the floor with a snack, a coffee and a book has to be a blessing from heaven. Those historical parts of Berlin are especially beautiful to spend some time at.

Lil fit check with my wonderful camera.

Public Transportation

Public Transportation in Berlin displays problems every. single. day. Trains being late, getting cancelled, or huge parts of the railway system being under construction is everyday nature. You also need to get used to the rising number of homeless people, not only in the streets, but also in trains.
